Hi KS,
Sorry for the radio silence, a lot of life happened to a lot of our core production team at once, and so we’re currently on a short hiatus. We’re hoping to reorganize, and hopefully we’ll get back to events in the very near future. Thank you for your patience.
In the meantime, I have a small favour to ask. I founded KS NOLA in 2014, and it’s been a pleasure and privilege to create a decade’s worth of safe spaces for the community. That’s hundreds of hours of unpaid work, and it’s been an honor to do. I’m here asking for a little help:
I run two online magazines, Out All Day (local arts and culture, 3 years old) and Up Night (nightlife, 4 years old). They both aim to promote lots of folk from our community, and local artists and hospitality workers in general.
I’m currently having to be in the UK looking after a parent, and to keep going I'm looking to pay people on the ground. I think we're doing good work (below I've linked three recent things as a taste of the variety we're putting out), and we've already raised $2,800 for the next year's freelance budget. I would love to get it to $3,000 and so I'm just asking people to please consider a $5 'subscription' for one year (just 10c per week) so that we can continue to promote local arts, culture and nightlife.
If you donate (any amount!), I can happily also promote whatever you want - we regularly get around 10,000 readers per month now, and we recently had our first ever 1,000 reader day. Let me promote your show, or website or business - happy to do it!
If you donate in the next 24 hours, every $5 is a ticket in the raffle for a $200 gift card to any local business that you like. We have some suggested promotion deals for larger donations here. I'll make the draw around this time (9am CST) tomorrow (Wed 9th).

Sincere thanks for any consideration, and hopefully we’ll have KS news for you soon. Much love,
Paul O
